What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup is the art of cosmetic tattooing to enhance the features of the face. It is the process of depositing pigment or color into the upper layer of the dermis using a variety of sterile, disposable needle configurations. It can improve the way a person looks just by adding a few strokes. If done properly, it can do wonders to promote positive attitude and encourage self- esteem. The effects can be subtle or bold, depending on the client's wishes. An initial consultation is a requirement.
Cosmetic Tattooing was commonly referred to as Permanent Makeup but because of the likelihood of fading and lightening over the years, permanent makeup could be referred to as Semi-Permanent Makeup.

Is it safe and does it hurt?
All the equipment and instruments used for the Permanent Makeup procedures are sanitized properly and sterilized. Sterile needles and machine accessories are wrapped individually. The assembly of the needle cartridge is done in front of the client prior to the procedure, and disposed of properly. This guarantees that brand new needles are used for single individuals only. Surgical gloves are used for each procedure. It is utmost important that proper sanitation protocols are observed in order to prevent the spread of blood borne-pathogens and cross contamination.
In addition, a very effective topical anesthetic system is used to numb the area to minimize major discomfort. It is ensured that the area is “painless” or thoroughly numb before the pigment is deposited. Although pain threshold level is different for each person, the procedure can be very comfortable to the point that clients doze off to a state of sleep through the procedure.
How long does the Permanent Makeup last?
To many individuals, these procedures are permanent but will need to be touched up every so often due to fading. In general, a touch up may be opted every 2 years to perk up the color or freshen up the look. For others, it may be semi permanent. A variety of factors may affect the longevity of the makeup.
